Christmas Makeup Look

Like a lot of others I decided to play in makeup Christmas day and I must say I loved it! I only did my eyes and a very neutral lip since I wasn’t going anywhere (everyone came to our house). I filmed a tutorial for this look, but deleted it by accident..boo! The pictures aren’t the best (I’ve learned a lot about my camera and how to take better pictures this week!), but its what I have right now. Thanks for reading.

December Fav’s…

I’ve really been experimenting with makeup and girly things this month thus the reason for posting a monthly favorites post. I don’t post this regularly, but this month I and part of last month, I feel in love with or back in love with several products. I hope you enjoy this post and let me know some of your favorite items…I’m always up for trying new things.

loves…

Outspoken by Fergie – This perfume is lovely and sold exclusively by Avon. It’s a sophisticated fragrance and well worth $34 (I believe that’s the gift set price). To order visit my mothers online store, listed on the main page of my blog.

Dec Fav (6)

Sephora Lash Plump Mascara – I received this in my beauty insider birthday present and finally decided to try it out. I absolutely LUUBBB this mascara! It makes my lashes look thick and beautiful, even though the brush is on the larger size. I will definitely be picking up a full size soon.

Dec Fav (9)

Avon Lash Renew Serum and Transformer – I have short stubborn Asian lashes that are a pain. I knew I didn’t want to try Latisse due to the side effects and the price tag so my mother gave me the Avon version to try. I will be doing a product review on this product soon, but I will say I’ve seen a BIG difference in my lashes!

Dec Fav (10)

Mark by Avon mascara – I love the formula of Mark’s mascara’s. If you’re like me and sometimes make a mess this is perfect, the formulas thick and definitely adds volume!

Dec Fav (4)Dec Fav (5)

MAC 217 – Oh…where you have been all my life. I love this brush, it blends like no other. You can get a crisp sweep of color or you can blend away all lines. I actually plan to pick up two more of these today! *I got another one for Christmas…thanks mom!*

Dec Fav (2)

elf bronzing duo – I picked this up at Target months ago and lost it somewhere in my collection…I know, I might have a problem on my hands! I don’t use it as a bronzer cause its waaayy to shimmery, but as a highlighter or blush. It gives a very natural glow to the cheeks and can be paired with other products easily.

Dec Fav (3)

body shop blush – Another product that was lost, but now found! I recently paired the blush with the elf bronzing quad (highlight) and found my perfect pink blush. It gave me that healthy glow that really looked like it was from within. I liked it so much that I work it everyday for a week straight!

Dec Fav (7)

EOS Lip Balm – I heard so much hype over this lip balm so I had to pick it up when I visited Walgreens. I must say I really like it, especially the lemon one. Its moisturizing but not greasy and has an SPF of 15-something you don’t find in a lot of drugstore products. I keep 1 in my purse and 1 at home and it never fails. This is definitely one of my winter favorites.

Dec Fav (8)

not so much…

L’Oreal Lineur Intense – is a crock of crap for me. It’s not black enough and wears off quickly. I do like the felt tip brush, but dislike the formula. I wanted this to work for so long that I was in denial for months.

Dec Fav (1)

You can definitely see that I had a lot of likes that not this month which I hope helps you with your purchasing choices!

Enjoy!

My Perfect Imperfections

I saw this tag on Youtube and decided to join to help my readers (now that I actually have some!) get to know me a little better. The idea is to name 3 things you like about yourself and 3 things that you don’t like about yourself. I’ll move on as to not bore you with rabbling!

3 Things I Like:

My Lips: after being a teen that hated her full lips, I have now grown to love them. It took years, but I figured I should be thankful that I have what people want!

My eyes: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my almond shaped eyes. I’ve always been told my eyes are nice and often had nicknames such as China, Chink, China Doll and such. My aunties traced our heritage and found Chinese ancestors…how awesome!!!!

My teeth: My friends are probably going to laugh because I’m always telling them that I want braces to correct the two crocked teeth I have. I even asked my dentist once and he laughed so hard I was embarrassed.

3 Think I Do Not Particularly Like:

My eyelashes: along with my high cheekbones and almond shaped eyes I also inherited those stubborn Asian lashes. My eyelashes are pretty much non-existent, although I’ve been using the Avon Renew lash growth stuff and its working!

My height: I’m a lovely 5’3’ 1/2…yes I need to add the 1/2 on it! Everyone in the family is tall or has a little more height than me. I actually don’t want much more just like 2-3 inches…please!

My boobies: Some people would say I’m blessed, but I say I’m cursed. I have a pretty large rack that can be annoying at times and definitely get in the way. I'm actually considering getting them reduced as they are way too big!

whelp…that’s about it for this random posting of “get to know me better”. I hope you enjoy and learned a little more about me.

When I was younger I had a HUGE complex about my lips and now LOVE them so much and want to share that love with other women that may have a complex. Now on the the picture!

I Got Mussels!

Well…not the kind you’re thinking of, I’m actually talking about seafood. My best friends and I got together for our annual holiday gathering at Buddha Bar in D.C. and one of my besties ordered one of the specials which happened to be mussels in some type of lovely Asian inspired sauce. As always I was nervous *I get extremely nervous when trying new foods* and didn’t know if I should indulge or run away from the table o_o, but I was soon convinced by the bestie and was happy that I did…I LOVED them! I couldn’t believe how good they were and how great the sauce was as well. For some strange reason I thought they would be chewy…like this horrible calamari that I had once, but much to my surprise they weren’t chewy at all and almost melted in my mouth actually. I’m really happy that I’ve tried them because I can now add them to my list of likes! I’m also happy that I tried Buddha Bar…it’s a great place with lovely ambiance as well!…give it a shot if you haven’t already.

essence…NOT the Magazine!

Sometime this year my local ULTA began carrying UK beauty brand essence which turned out to be a match made in heaven! At first glance you may think its for the teeny boppers, but when you try the products you soon find out its nowhere near it. I also love the price points for this beauty line which has its most expensive item at $3.99…scoooooore!

I have tried a few of their products and figured it was time to share the wealth. I’ve found a favorite mascara and 2…yes 2 eyeliners.

essence – liquid eyeliner…waterproof: this product is great. It has a brush (not felt) tip which I prefer as it gives you a precise line. Its also a matte black!…which I love most of the time. I did not have any problem with cracking or smudging like other liquid liners. Price $2.79!

essence liquid liner

essence – eyeliner pen: I was skeptical about this product since I had a bad experience with a pen liner before. Being that it was so inexpensive I figured that I could splurge a little to try this out and boy am I happy I did! This is a great “marker”, it didn’t tug at my eye or dry out halfway through lining. This is also smudge proof and dries quickly…which allows you to quickly complete your makeup process! It does have a slight gloss though nothing over the top. Price $2.49!

essence liner pen

essence – maximum definition volume mascara: this is a great mascara that really separates lashes and adds volume. Its not clumpy like some cheaper products…which is a MUST. Price $3.99!

essence mascaraessence mascara 2

I will do another post once I pick up more products which I plan to do ASAP! Be sure to leave me a comment if you pick any of these products up.

Wet ‘n Wild Collection

There has been a lot of hype over the new and improved quality of WnW products and being that I’ve some how *really not sure how it happened* collected A LOT of their from the Color Icon line I thought I’d do a comprehensive post! You can always find WnW on sale at a drugstore somewhere often BOGO or BOG1 50% off which is why I’m pretty sure I have so much of it now…thanks CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid! Be sure to check out my other posts that included WnW (to see my August Favorites post which included WnW click here and to see my WnW Holiday post click here). I hope you enjoy this post and run out and give these inexpensive products a shot.

LIPS:

MEGA LAST® LIP COLOR is described by WnW as:

Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.

I absolutely ADORE *in my sing song voice* these lipsticks and plan on buying a few more of them. I can vouch for (pictured below L-R) 907C Mauve Outta Here, 919B Vamp It Up, 903C Just Peachy, 916D Ravin’ Raisin, 918D Cherry Bomb and 902C Bare It All-my favorite nude right now. My only gripe about this product is the packaging…frankly is SUCKS, despite the the quality of the product the packaging is extremely cheap. Price $2.99!

  WnW Lipsticks

MEGA SLICKS™ LIP GLOSS is described by WnW as:

Super-shiny gloss adds luster and color to lips, while Vitamins A & E moisturize and condition.

I don’t use these much, but when I like them for the most part. Stay away from these if you don’t like frost-its not too bad, but it does show. I will say they have a nice smooth feel and do not have that sticky/tacky texture like some MAC glosses. Try these out (pictured below L-R) 563B Sun Glaze, 566 Strawberry Ice, 570A Berry Burst, 578 Sinless, 564A Cherish and 567A Sheerly Cocoa. Price $1.99!

WnW Lipgloss

CHEEKS:

COLOR ICON™ BLUSHER is described by WnW as:

Sweep on this silky-smooth blush that strikes the perfect balance between a blendable transparent sheen and a radiant pop of maximum color. A special blend of treated nylon powders provides long-lasting color. Dermatologist-tested.

I LOVE the 2 blushes that I have so far and plan on getting the other 2 in this collection! They are really buildable which means they are great for day and night looks. I’ve tried the two picture (L-R)832E Heather Silk and 833E Mellow Wine. Price $2.99!

WnW Blushes

COLOR ICON™ BRONZER is described by WnW as:

Add a golden glow and a touch of luminosity to any complexion for a healthy, sun-kissed look. Special blend of treated nylon powders provide long-lasting, blendable color. Dermatologist-tested.

I only have (741A Princess) because I thought it looked the best for my golden skin tone. I was actually impressed because I was able to use this for a slight contour of my cheekbones and forehead. Price $2.99!

WnW Bronzer

EYES:

MEGA EYES® CRÈME EYELINER is described by WnW as:

The precision of a liquid liner with the ease of a cream application, this velvet-rich eyeliner provides long-lasting definition in a waterproof formula. Easy-to-use brush included.

This stuff is amazing despite the horrible brush included with it. Its very creamy, super black and very matte!!!! This has been compared to MAC’s Fluidline in Blacktrack which is around $16…so this definitely gets my vote in the money saver column! I like them so much I have 2 on stand by just in case I can’t find them in the store for some odd reason. Price $3.99!

WnW Liner

COLOR ICON™ EYESHADOW SINGLE is described by WnW as:

High-pigmentation and pearl-density create a unique, satiny texture that lasts and lasts. A versatile collection of classic and trend shades can be easily worn alone or playfully combined for a variety of looks.

I have 256BP which is a dupe of MAC’s Humid - green *which I also have* and 255B Penny which is pretty close to MAC’s Expensive Pink – Coppery Pink *again, I already have it*. These colors are very pigmented and soft…they glide on like BUTTA! Price 1.99!

WnW Single Shadow

COLOR ICON™ EYESHADOW PALETTE is described by WnW as:

Glamour-eyes from day to night! Each complementary shade can be mixed-and-matched for a variety of day-to-night looks. These palettes of 3 matte and 3 highly-pigmented effect shades are sure to please the shade sassy minimalist and enthusiast alike!

I really like these palettes especially for the convenience and versatility they offer. I will admit a couple of the colors are a little chalky or very sheer to the point of not being buildable. I love that all of the palettes have 3 matte shades and 3 shimmer shades which is great for those of us that like to mix textures. Overall, the quality of the palettes are impressive and really stand up to some higher end brands. I have all 4 in the permanent line - 246 Greed, 247 Pride, 249 Vanity and 248 Lust (picture L-R ). Price $4.99!

WnW Palettes

COLOR ICON™ EYESHADOW PALETTE LIMITED EDITION – does not have burb on the website.

These limited edition sets were released with holiday themes and offer the same great quality as the permanent collection. All 6 shadows have a shimmer, frost or glitter. These have the same great quality as the permanent line and also include a few dupes of high end brands! They also come with a bonus eyeliner pencil which the permanent line does offer. Picture below L-R Golden Goddess, Snow Sprite, Night Elf and Sugar Plum Fairy. Price $4.99!

WnW LE Palettes

Overall, the new Wet ‘n Wild products are awesome and the price point is unbeatable…I really hope they don’t get wind and raise prices like everyone else! I hope this review has helped you you save a few $$$ building your collections!

Love and hugs,

My Makeup Story…so far

I was looking over pictures from throughout the years and decided to put together a video montage while testing out my movie maker skills. I will be the first to admit its not all pretty…some of the pictures shocked the heck out of me  when I saw them. I couldn’t believe some of the makeup “mistakes”  throughout the years but, hey that’s what growth and progress is for…right!?!

September Fav's...Posted in December!

betta late than neva...isn't that what we say when we know we're wrong for being late! i'll try to get more like drake...neva late is betta...i'm trying people i promise i'm trying. this is my installment for my September favorite items. my favorites are never really involved because i don't wear makeup as often as i should based on my collection. i'm getting better and have definitely noticed i'm making more time since i don't seem to be cutting my spending. here goes...

loves...
scanda-lash mascara by mark
wow...i absolutely love his stuff. my mother is a avon sales rep (check her out!) and i think i'm her biggest spender. i've totally been on a mascara kick lately and i'm happy i bought the scanda-lash my only mistake was not buying it in black. i decided to go with colored mascara since i thought i had enough black and boy was i wrong. the formula is great, its nice and thick not runny at all, the brush is nice and small and separates like no other. i have short stubborn lashes and this definitely tames them for me. i plan to order 2 of the them (black of course) in my next order and i suggest you do as well!

get in line eyeliner by mark
when i first bought this liquid liner i hated it and never used it. of course that was before i became comfortable with makeup and my face. the brush is super thin and flexible which i took for granted when i first tried to use it. its super black and waterproof and gets so close to my lash line. the only thing i would change (if i could) would be the finish. its shiny and i prefer a matte liner. overall, this is another great product from Avon!

carmex moisture plus
this stuff is the BIZNESS...i'm obsessed and i'm not lying...AT ALL. i saw this in walgreens and thought it was cute and had to pick it up and haven't been able to put it down. i can get a little obsessive and have since bought 3 more of these little babies...you never know when items are discontinued so you have to stock up *haha*.

not so much...
loreal lineur carbon eyeliner
i've decided to start putting the bad and ugly discovered during a given month in this post as well and this is my first one. i bought this eyeliner (i mean searched and searched until i found it) because of reviews from youtubers and i knew this would work for me...NOT. i've tried to make this work and i've actually been in denial for quite so time. this product does not stay on me no matter how much i apply. i always have to set it with a powder and that doesn't always work. i even skipped out and bought the brown because i believed the hype before trying it for myself. i love the felt brush though and would suggest this for beginners but make sure you get this on sale.

questionable...
the jury is still out on the next two items but i'll have a definitive answer soon.

iman foundation stick
another item i bought some time ago but haven't had the time to really use it because i rarely wear foundation. i've seen reviews and application tutorials on this product and i can't seem to make it work as easy for me. i have a hard time blending this out and i've tried several different application methods (wedge sponge, damp sponge, fingers, brush, etc...) and it's always streaky and takes forever to get it blended. i'm torn because once its blended and settled in with my natural oils it gives a great look coverage. oh well...i'll try it a few more times before deciding.

mac minerialized foundation
my little sister was nice enough to give me this foundation because it was too light for her...damn mac girls matching people up wrong again...and it seemed like a great product at first. i needed to beat my face because i had a job doing a brides makeup and decided i should look like something myself...OK! this stuff is really sheer which isn't horrible because i don't need a lot of coverage but i find myself reaching for concealer when i wear this foundation and its oxidizes throughout the day. i've also noticed that i get extremely oily and must carry a setting powder around with me...which i don't normally do. i'll continue working with this one to see what i can make of it.

whelp...that's it for this installment i hope this helps.
love and hugs,

First Bridal Trial

This post is a long overdue post and I have no clue why its taken me so long. One of my friends was getting married and keeping me in the loop on her planning process which included her makeup trials. I’m not exactly sure what came over me and before I knew it blurted out “why don’t you let me do your makeup and if you like it, I’ll do it free of charge as my present to you” not knowing she would really take me up on the offer. Our first trial went well and I soon received the news I was waiting for…you’re hired! We decided to take the pictures outside since her wedding was being held outside and figured it would be best to make sure everything was perfect. She loved her makeup so much that she couldn’t stop talking about it or taking pictures of herself..no really…I have about 60 pictures taken by her on my camera!

I will definitely do another post once I receive the actual wedding pictures which were absolutely beautiful.

If you know of anyone looking for someone to do their makeup please pass my information on (jbyrd06@hotmail.com).

Happy reading

Hair Update

As many of you know I recently decided to go natural. To help aid me in my efforts and to save time and hopefully money, I decided to get my hair braided. I rarely get my hair braided and were not feeling the places I’ve gone to in the past so I questioned my Facebook friends and got a couple of hits! After doing my research *y’all know how I am about doing my research* I decided on Princess Braiding in Landover *I think it may be Hyattsville actually* MD. The prices were unbeatable *$150 (after a $20 off coupon) for kinky twists and the service was great. My hair wasn’t pulled too tight as often is the case with braids. It was also twisted from the start *in the past it was started out with a braid and then twisted*. She also braided it to the very end instead of leaving it bushy at the end which resulted in a hot mess! Overall, I was extremely impressed with this place and like my hair…check it out if you’re in the mood for braids or weave.

Its a Wet ‘n Wild Holiday

I seriously thought about skipping these palettes due to the number of shadows that I have already. Then the reviews started from many of the Youtubers or beauty bloggers that I frequent, in turn I decided I had to have them. At first I thought I only wanted Bronze set (Golden Goddess), but noticed the red in the Night Elf set and knew I had to have both of them immediately. I really didn’t want Snow Sprite (green’s and blues) or Sugar Plum Fairy (purples) set until I saw them in person and figured *what the heck, I might as well complete the set*. I’m happy to report that I now have all 4 of them in my possession and can’t wait to start using them! If you’re interested you should be able to find these at your local Walgreens (I visited a total of 3 stores to find ALL 4).

Just a Little Retail Therapy!

I decided to post this entry because I came across the pictures I had taken today while looking at my camera. I did a little shopping and thought I’d share a little of my taste with you. Let me know what you think.
DSC02294 (2)
Cute leather jacket from Lane Bryant. It actually fits really well…I can’t believe the sleeves aren’t too long!
DSC02299 (2)
I thought this shirt was really cute for the office.
DSC02302 (2)
I snagged a couple of wide belts to go with my dresses or shirts that need an accessory. I love the black and white dress and again have yet to wear it.
DSC02308 (2)
Who doesn’t need stockings!!!!
DSC02309 (2)
Aren’t these the best platforms pumps you’ve even seen? I LOVED, yes LOVED these shoes. Unfortunately they were a little too big and the smaller size was too tight I tried everything to make these works before returning them this week.

Jesse’s Girl

Jesse’s Girl…I want to have Jesse’s Girl! I’m sure that's not the right lyrics to the song but that's what i sing when i hear it! So you may have realized that I’m not referring to the song but in fact Jesse's Girl cosmetics specifically their eye dust pigments.

I heard about these products from a beauty blogger on twitter and immediately ran out to my nearest Rite Aid in hopes of finding them. Much to my surprise they were available at the rite aid in Dumfries on 234 (for those in the Woodbridge VA area). My first trip resulted in two colors…although they only cost $3.99 I didn’t want to go too crazy without trying them for myself. Being the impatient person I am I sat in the parking lot and tried them on my hand and was pleasantly surprised. I then drove (a little too fast) home to try them wet as well and boy what a difference a little contact solution made. The colors definitely come ALIVE when used wet. These are definitely worth you while especially if you like loose shadows.

My collection has now grown to 6 colors (Blue Moon, Indian Summer, Antique Green, Sunlit Cactus, Blackstar Blue and Baby Blues) with the promise of more to come. I saw a beautiful pink and purple that I want to snag sometime soon. Remember to let me know if you have tried Jesse’s Girl products or plan to buy them soon.

…and now to the fun stuff…PICTURES!

Individual Lashes

I'm really trying to get the hang of this faux lash thing so I've been playing around a little. I've been able to put the strips on successfully (with lots of work) a couple of times, but being that I prefer the more natural looking ones I don't really feel like they improve my look. I did buy first pair of demi whispies so I'm excited to play around with those to see what I get.

I wasn't thinking about trying individuals until a friend asked me to learn how so that I could save her from driving 20 miles and paying $50 in a shop. I said yes, but put it off a little while longer hoping should would forgot about it. Of  course she didn't and asked about it a week later so I couldn't hide anymore. I went out this weekend and some lashes and the glue that lasts forever and smells bad. Boy, I was a mess when I first tried to do this on Friday. I right eye wasn't horrible but the left one was so crappy. I decided to take them off after a day because I felt super self conscience and the glue was so clumpy (someone had the bright idea to use regular lash glue on some of them). Being that I'm not the lay down and quit type of girl, I picked up the lashes, glue, tweezers and my patience and tried it again. This time they came out well enough to leave them on until they fall off as I believe they look a lot better. I will definitely update this post once I take them off and when I put hers on this weekend.

What's A Girl To Do !?!

To go natural or stay with the creamy crack (relaxer)? I've been toying with the this idea for a while and think I might have come to a conclusion. As of right now I've decided to hold off on getting a perm to see if I can go all the way. If i decide at any point that natural is not for me then I'll simply return to getting my hair relaxed. The reason I'm doing this is to see what my natural state is like and if its manageable, not for any other reasons. If you're natural please leave your stories below, I'd look to read some of them. I'll definitely keep you updated on my affair with hair!

I Just Can't Get Enough...

I've been such a tv junkie lately (well...not just lately!) that I thought I'd share with you what's been occupying my time lately. The new fall season has started and I definitely have a couple of shows that I watch faithfully.

Bravo's The Real Housewives
I've always been a Housewives fan from the beginning. I can remember when it was all about Orange County and the seasons were 6-9 months apart with lots of reruns in between. Now, we're introduced to a new set of Housewives every 3-6 months and I LOVE IT! I will say Atlanta is by fair my favorite because they are the most entertaining, but I definitely like the others as well.

Styles Jerseylicious
How precious is this show. It definitely has a entertainment factor, but it has some good points as well. I think I officially have a favorite character in Gigi...she seems like a really good well-rounded person. You must check this show out if you haven't already. Especially if you're memerized by the sprouting of shows from Jersey.

CW's 90210
I was super *i use that work way too much* excited when I heard there was going to be a new 90210. I can remember being a kid when the first series was launched and instantly loving it. I'm pretty sure it was because they were a lot older than me so it made me feel cool (I'm such a dork at times). This new cast is awesome and besides being a good (non reality) show they also discuss some important topics.

MTV's 16 and Pregnant
I was instantly drawn to this show as well and have watched each season (including Teen Mom) with hopeful thoughts for these young ladies. Its interesting to see the teens in these situations and I think it shows America that teens from all backgrounds have a problem with teen pregnancy. I really hope these ladies grown up and become great parents and learn from the past to try to prevent pregnancy from happening again until they're completely ready for it.

Oprah
I've never been an Oprah fan but thought I'd give it a shot since its her last season on network tv and all. I don't really care much when she has celebrities on for no reason, but I love her other shows. She has topics that make me cry, laugh and everything in between.

Oxygen's Bad Girls Club
Such a trainwreck but I can't seem to get enough. Is it me or has this seaon been extremely loonnnnng? I think Oxygen tried to stretch it out with the 1-2 week breaks in the middle of the season to get more viewers or something. It seems a lot more over the top than past seasons and I really would like them to calm it down just a little, but of course I'll keep watching!

Modern Family
How late and I on the Modern Family bandwagon? I totally slept on this show until I saw the cast on Oprah and laughed the entire time. I wish this show was an full hour, I laugh so hard when watching it. I love that it portrays such a diverse family that gets along wonderfully *most of the time*.

Now that I've gotten that out of my system maybe I can focus on my makeup and fashion posts again!

Teen Mom 9-28

so, i guess i forgot to blog about last weeks episode so things will be a bit out of order...sorrys *pout*! this episode had both highs and lows and i mean lows. we saw the good, bad and almost ugly *i try to not judge so i won't flat out call her ugly* in Amber this week. i will say i was pretty satisfied with the others throughout the episode which makes me a happy reality show watcherer! let me know what you think after checking the post out.

Farrah really seems to be coming around and finding her footing in this thing called motherhood and life. i've been so critical of her this season and this is my first post the includes nothing but positive about her. i can't believe how well she's getting along with her parents which makes me happy because Sophia has an "adult" to look out for her...y'all know Farrah slow. watching Farrah and Sophia with Sophia's aunt and baby cousin made me cry so hard...i can't keep up my G status *not even* ballin' at the TV like that. i loved that she brought a baby book with pictures of Derek, Sophia's father and shared them and us. how much does Sophia look like her daddy!?! i swear she looks exactly like him that its scary..that smile is her daddy's all over again. i'm really looking for a happier ending to this story...they deserve it.

Miss Maci Miss Maci, things are looking up for her...she can't cook worth a damn but she seems to be doing well. how happy is everyone that she and Ryan were able to sort everything out like adults? i know i am although i really wish she lived closer to him so they didn't have to shuffle Bentley such a long distance.

hey Catelynn! how precious is Carly??? she looks like both of them and i think its the most precious thing ever. i'm very sad they didn't graduate with their classmates but i am happy they aren't giving up. *yells* go Tyler and Catelynn you can do it!!!!

i was dreading talking about the next NUT but i guess its obvious i need to address the craziness thats Amber. ok...chick needs to be on something *throws antidepressant in her mouth* and Gary even said she needed to go back on her medicine. i felt so bad for him when she acted a fool and hit him and tried to push his stuff down the stairs. i swear Gary should have called dem boys to handle Ambers crazy ass...domestic violence goes both ways people! i really hope Leah is taken care of in all of this foolishness...thank goodness for partially sane grandparents!

well thats all for me folks...the few sentences on Amber wore me O U T out!

LadybugB's Top Jamz!

this summer gave us a couple of great albums and singles that has kept me longing for more *shouting* we want more in my young girl concert screaming voice! i thought i'd share a few of my faves and try to find out yours. the list below is in no significant order.

Monica - Still Standing
this album as a whole was awesome i think the break really did Monica well and gave us something very refreshing. i turn this album on and sing like i sound as good as she does...its really helps me escape. if you don't have this one go it soon!

Fantasia - Back to Me
Fanny..Fanny..Fanny (my name for her) you've done it this time. between the hit reality show to the drama of her love life to this album *which i think also put her back on the map as a great artist* and everything in else she has going on. she definitely showed everyone she's a grown up with this album...the songs are much needed and touch on various topics. like i said about Monica's album you must go get this one...NOW!

Jasmine Sullivan's Holding You Down (Goin' In Circles)
what a great follow up to her first album..this song is FIYA! i turn this song up every time its on the radio and listen to it on my iPhone all the time...i can't seem get enough. not only was the original a hit but the Remixx with Mary is just as hot and came just as this song had been in rotation for a couple of months. i'm excitedly awaiting her sophomore release.

Miguel - All I Want Is You
i first heard about this song from several youtubers and went searching iTunes to find out for myself and boy was i pleasantly surprised. this song hadn't made it in the rotation when i stumbled upon it but it was on repeat all the time on my phone. i can't wait to hear more from him in the near future this song has not gotten old at all.

i hope you guys download (legally of course!) these songs or albums if you don't have them already they're definitely worth it.

Who Wanna Rock with JWOWW

OM-Geezy...can you say late! i've had this post in the edit process for so long that it doesn't make sense..i really need to do better with my life! when i first started this post i was going to recap the entire episode but decided to focus on the important part..JWOWW rockin' Sammi *yelling* fight, fight, fight in my Jerry Springer audience voice!

whelp..i have mixed emotions about the letter. i know why they did it and i may have done things the same way if i thought the recipient would have responded in a positive thankful way. with that said i know Jenni and Snooki both knew who they were dealing with and knew that Sammi is an idiot who would have believed Ronnie before believing her friends. chick needs help people...i swear she's pathetic and definitely made herself look desperate so far this season.

dun, dun, dun, duuuunnn...i really didn't expect the fight to go down like that. i would have been pissed if i tried to help a friend out and she totally turned the tables on me. JWOWW is such a gansta i really didn't think she was going to mush the girl like she did and then throw the girl to the floor while keeping her balance! because i try to play fair i admit that hook Sammi caught her with *after getting up from the floor* was a good connect...i didn't know Sammi had it in her. then everything took a turn for the worst everyone was holding Jenni while no one seemed to be worried about Sammi especially Ronnie. shouldn't he have been holding his gf instead of his roommate!?! let's play fair dude...i know you were upset cause Jenni embarrassed your girl but play fair dude! after that the rest of the episode made me want to throw up in my mouth so i'll stay away from it since i don't want to feel sick again.

happy reading...until next time,

Teen Mom - Sept. 7th!

i've been very 1-sided in this blog thing only discussing makeup and such. i've made a decision...i'm going to start blogging about a little big of everything! i know i know...you're (not sure who you consist of since i don't have any readers *sad face*) super excited and can't wait for more!

in addition to makeup another favorite past time i have is TV...particularly REALITY TV...yeah i know!?! after a hard day at work i want nothing more than to watch people make a fool of themselves on national TV. i think the thing that draws me in is the fact that i don't act like them and would (NEVER!) act so crazy..in public that is. my first TV post will be on one of my favorites...wait for it...none other than Teen Mom *i heart this show*. Let's jump right in this weeks installment was really good.

MACI
i decided to break it down per girl instead of jumping all around according to the episode. i'm happy that Maci is involved with Kyle he seems like a really good guy who enjoys both her and Bentley. i'm a little more reserved so the decision to up and move 2 hours away so quickly (although i'm not sure how long they've been dating) seems abrupt. i definitely get where shes coming from in wanting to get to know him better but it doesn't seem that they explored the option of Kyle moving to Chattanooga. i would like to see her explore other options before moving that far from her support system.

Ryan, Ryan, Ryan i don't know where to start. i have very mixed feelings about him. i know it takes some people more time than others to grow up and take responsibility but i can't forget the way he acted on previous seasons. a big part of me thinks he's only asking for more time because his parents and gf want him to have more time not because he really wants to spend time with Bentley, but the optimist in me is thinking he may be growing up. i hope this growth continues and he finds a job too*how bout them apples* (i think i just channeled my grandmother when i thought to say that)!

last but not least with Maci...it appears they're going to court. i really hope this ends well for everyone involved and people see that shes a great mother. she's been the most stable person in this entire train ride for me and i'm sure its because of her home life and well...not to mention she's a southern girl so having a kid at 16 and almost getting married is the LIFE!!!

where to next o look its AMBER time:
i can't hold this in any longer...Gary is an IDIOT how old is he btw?! you let your friend egg you on to be a pussy who complains about not being invited to go out with your gf or fiancee or whatever the hell you guys are this week! your friend is lonely and possibly has a crush on you so he wants to to be single. i'm happy he came to his senses at some point during the night.

i keep saying Amber is a G...that girl will hit you and put your ass out in a minute! i'm not condoning domestic violence or violence at all but damn she's a feisty one at least for a minute. she's one of those that will put her man in check and then beg to have him back..i need her to fix that! i would have been upset with Gary as well, he acted like an ass all because of his friend *screaming* stop being a follower Gary! i'm happy they seem to have worked things out and Amber was able to get her party on for her bday.

who has a WACK JOB for a mother, CATELYNN has a WACK JOB for a mother. i swear i feel so bad for Catelynn when it comes to her mother. i really thought her mother and step father were a little more normal this season until he went back to rehab for the umpteenth time and her mother started acting (i use the term loosely) like an addict herself. i can't believe that her mother acted like that on camera, in public and in front of Catelynn's friend. who calls their daughter names like that..i know everyone doesn't have the cookie cutter family but that was way too much. maybe her mother needs a stint in rehab...i'm just sayin'! i thought the dress she wore for prom was precious and looked really good on her and i'm even happier for her and Tyler for winning prom king and queen. Speaking of Tyler...they seem to be doing really well and enjoying being teens. they were really going through it earlier this season and i didn't think they would make it...at all. i'm routing for them *cheering*!

guess who's next, go on guess..fine i'll tell you. its FARRAH time!!!! i think this episode helped her get back in my good graces a little. i'm not saying she didn't have a reason for acting out a little but she would often take it waaaaay too far with her smart comments and body language.

i was very shocked when she invited her mother to her therapy session...maybe she's growing up a little, at least that's what i'm telling myself. i'm happy her mother accepted the offer as well..she could have been a bitch and decided not to go which definitely would have been a bad move. of course Farrah had to act out in the therapy session and act as if she wanted to gain nothing from inviting her mother to partake. now, now..i understand  she was upset with her mother and the way she was acting was years worth of family issues. the therapist must be cut from the same cloth as Amber 'cause she put that attitude to a halt and checked Farrah *therapist - 1, Farrah -0*! i was happy to see a change in Farrah and Debra (i think that's her mom's name!) and they seem to be moving in the right direction which will be great for Sophia cause Farrah def. needs help with parenting!

now, i must inform you i'm not a parent but i have been around children and have a little sister 9 years younger than i am (i know, my parent's were nutz!) so i do understand basic parenting. the most disturbing thing about Farrah is she doesn't quit understand that you should leave the baby unattended. i cringed when i saw Sophia sitting on the counter top (especially after the bed and kitchen sink situations) and Farrah was in the other room. i know this is REALITY TV and the producers want to be hands off but i need them to start stepping in before the baby is seriously hurt on their watch..OK *shakes head and snaps fingers*! i hope she learns to make sure baby as her mother calls her is safe.

whelp...thats about it for this installment check back next later this week for more Teen Mom!

August Fav's

now that i'm actually wearing makeup i'm finding products that i absolutely LOVE! I used to be a MAC only girl but then i grew up and gained responsibilities, which actually worked out for me because i've had the chance to try multiple brands. the following products have made it onto my favorites list this month.

essence extreme definition mascara - i bought this some time ago because i needed to buy something to use my ULTA coupon...little did i know it would turn out to be a jewel. i normally use this as my 2nd or 3rd coat to really separate my lashes. it retails for 2.99 at your local ULTA.

rimmel super great lash mascara - this was another mascara that i stumbled upon at my local Target. i almost went with Sexy Curves but being the frugal person i am i decided to try the cheaper mascara and again i'm happy i did!

i'm lovin' the new Wet n' Wild Coloricon palettes. i can't believe the quality of this drugstore line. i remember when Wet n' Wild used to be the crappy .99 makeup you bought in high school. that is definitely not the case with these new shadows. i originally bought Vanity and Lust but bought Greed and Pride on bogo.  these shadows are very pigmented, blend well and versatile. i've been able to do natural and bold looks...i love it!

L-R: Greed, Lust, Vanity, Pride
whelp...as this post comes to an end i hope i've been able to give some of you insight into a few products. i really hope you try some of them and that you love them as well.

happy reading,
