My New Obsession

Being a makeup junkie can be expensive, especially when making higher end purchases. To help myself indulge and help my pocketbook (Omg...did I just say pocketbook!) I now shop the sample size items at Sephora and Ulta.

I received my first sample set - Happy Beauty Day! from Ulta for purchasing another Benefit product. It contained:
BADgal lash mascara, posietint lip and cheek stain and POREfessional pore reducing primer.

While waiting to checkout at Sephora I came across the benefit to go "stay put" set, which contained:
Stay Don't Stray shadow and concealer primer, Erase Paste camouflage for eyes and face and RSVP creaseless cream shadow. I believe this set was $10 and contains a fair amount of product.

Last week I went to Sephora and found myself only interested in the items at the checkout. I didn't want to make a big purchase so I stuck with the benefit FULL GLAM AHEAD set, which contains:
High Beam luminescent complexion enhanced, Stay Don't Stray shadow and concealer primer and BADgal lash mascara. I didn't mind the duplicates as I like both the mascara and primer and may purchase the full size when I run out. This set was $12.

I definitely plan on making more sample set purchase from other companies such as Tarte, Lorac, Urban Decay and Too Faced, just to name a few.

BTW...I've started posting some things from my phone as its much faster with the little one around. I'll still have some posts from my computer with better pictures!

Haulin’ with the Homies!

Actually, I wasn’t with the homies, but Clueless was stuck in my head for some reason. I recently picked up a few things and received a couple of things free and wanted to show you guys my goodies-not the goodies that Ciara sings about, but the one’s from ULTA and Sephora. Ok, ok, enough with my corny jokes and on to the good stuff!

NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Blue and Plum Purple – I couldn’t resist it, I needed to use my ULTA $3.50 off of $10 coupon. They weren’t lying when they said extreme blue.

Benefit Powderflage – I’ve heard a lot about this product from youtubers, but didn’t want to spend $28 on it so I wanted until and used my ULTA rewards points for $9 off.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush – I bought this brush because I was looking for a smaller stippling brush as I feel that I don’t have any control with regular stippling brush. *sorry its dirty, I use it daily!*

Benefit the Porefessional, Posie tint and BAD gal lash - were all part of a free gift for my Benefit purchase.

e.l.f Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes – I decided to pick these up from Target since they were so cheap.

Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk – I saw this at the check out area and decided to pick it up since it was only $10.

SEPHORA hydrating & smoothing foundation in D40 – I’ve been on the search for the perfect liquid foundation and this was only $6 bucks so I couldn’t resist it. So far so good…a full review will be coming soon.

Benefit Coralista face powder – I received this free as my 100 point gift at Sephora and I LOVE it. It just makes my cheeks glow.

Benefit Stay Don’t Stray, Erase Paste in Medium and R.S.V.P Cream Shadow – I’ve been wanting to try the Stay Don’t Stray and Erase Paste and this was another one of those items at the register that I couldn’t turn my back on.

Philosophy happy birthday beautiful – this was my birthday gift from Sephora and it smells so freaking good.

FOTN:: Flirty 30!

On June 6th at 3:03 I officially left my 20's behind! Yes...I'm officially in the 30 and over club. A couple friends and I went to happy hour/dinner at BarCode in DC to celebrate the occasion. My First Live Tutorial

So…I finally recorded a live tutorial! I was in a rut and decided a needed to get up, get out and do something…actually that’s a song, but its true in the since that I needed to get up! I couldn’t decide what to do so I settled on makeup, something that always makes me happy. I also used this as a perfect time to play with my webcam to see if it was good enough for videos. Christmas Makeup Look

Like a lot of others I decided to play in makeup Christmas day and I must say I loved it! I only did my eyes and a very neutral lip since I wasn’t going anywhere (everyone came to our house). I filmed a tutorial for this look, but deleted it by accident..boo!
