What I'm Watchin'

I haven't been doing much in the way of makeup or hair, but I have been watching tons of TV and feel like writing about it. I hope to play around with some hair or makeup this weekend, but I can't make any promises. On to the good stuff...

RHWOA
This show is extremely strange this season and yet I'm still watching. Half of the ladies don't speak and the others are just existing. Peter and Cynthia seem to be having a rough first year of marriage and don't really seem to be on  the same page about things. Phaedra seems to be trying to expand her brand by opening a funeral home that she can later leave to her son. Speaking of Aiden, isn't he precious with those cheeks!?! I hope the best is yet to come, because there hasn't been much to this season. I hope something happens in Africa and hopefully Sheree and Nene and reunite.

The Game
We're only 2 episodes in this season and I'm starting to get frustrated. The first episode had a lot going on-so much so that I could barely keep up. I need the writers to slow it down just a bit and let the plot thickening throughout the season. I'll give it a little more time before I abandon ship, but this just might be the season to make me do so!

Teen Mom
I've been with this show forever and can't seem to get enough of it. Looks like Corey and Leah still have it together, but I'm waiting to see the episode where they break up. Baby Ali is the most precious little girl in the world...I can't seem to get enough of those little glasses. She also seems to be doing a lot more in terms of moving and stuff. Jenelle is a waste of space right now and I really hope she can get herself together. Watching her actually makes me sick. Chelsea is another one that really needs to get per priorities together and stop worrying about her baby daddy (I hate the term, but the shoe fits in this case!) and focus on baby Aubrey. Kailyn seems to be trying, but she doesn't always go about things the right way. I think she could have explained the entire child support reasoning a lot better and maybe Joe would have understood. I can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of the season.

Jersey Shore
This one just came back on as well and we're down two people in the first two episodes, how crazy is that! I hope Vinny gets the rest he needs and home and is able to return. Mike may be a lost cause at this point. I'll keep watching.

Braxton Family Values
Toni and her sisters are hilarious..I can't seem to get enough of this show. Tamar is her usual over the top self that fuels the fire for everyone else. This season we actually saw her bring Toni outside of herself, something you don't often see. Traci is trying to come into herself and often times they don't let her and act as if she's beneath them because she stayed in MD. Trina should probably get a divorce as it seems she and her husband are not happy and have both stepped outside the marriage. I need Towanda and her husband to decide what to do as well, that story is getting kind of old too. I think the next episode is going to be pretty good and I can't wait to see it.

Oh well..I just wanted to drop a few lines to keep this thing going. Please drop me a line if you watch any of these shows or recommend any.

Happy Reading,
Jae

TV Talk

Its that time again...let's dish about the shows dominating our TV time lately.

Jerseylicious- i absolutely love this show. i guess like a lot of people shows centered in Jersey fascinate me so much so that i think i'm going to take a trip to the shore this summer. i'm not a fan of Doria and the ways she goes about speaking to Olivia, although the smokey looks do get old to me. i'm happy that Frankie and Gigi seem to be a great place and that they have so much communication in their relationship now. i wish these two lots of luck in the future. i'm really ready for someone to blow the whistle on Tracy's and the fact that she's still working for Alexa. she such a bully to me, however she does make me laugh all the time.

Jersey Shore- we were blessed with 2 espisodes this this week and boy was i happy about it. as i've already stated i can't seem to get enough of this show, it never gets old to me. Deena or Blast in a Glass is so funny to me, she seems like a person that could get along with anyone while being a ball of fun. i laughed so hard when she fell off of the stage, not once but 3 times...walk away from the alcohol, girl . i was happy that Sammi apologized to Snooki and Deena, but disappointed that she didn't try to say anything to Jenni, let it go sweetie, let it go! how big of a douche is Tom? i'm happy that Jenni is finally away from him, but i can't believe he took money from her and her beloved hard drive. next episode looks great, looks like Sammi is going to have the big meltdown that i knew she would. *waves* by hater!

ATL Housewives- umm...did NeNe really get on the tour bus and go the heck off on Kim?!? i don't condone the way she went about it, but she had some valid points to her arguments. Kandi is a patient soul to put up with Kim and Sweetie...btw, who the heck is Sweetie and why does she take bulls!$t from Kim? Peter and Cynthia really have some stuff going on that i hope gets settled quickly for every one's sake involved. i would be a little upset as well if my fiance decided to close up shop that i have invested in without telling me...umm Peter that was her money as well. oh, well i can't wait for next weeks episode.

Basketball Wives-do i really feel like going here with this post. these chicks have a lot going on and seem to be what we would call "messy". i was good to see Jen and Tami makeup and it looks like Jen was the one who contacted Tami, which was even better. i agree with Royce being mad at pretty much all of her friends for not supporting her and her charity event, i hope they work it out soon. i guess, the saga with Jen's husband/ex-husband is just heating up and there seems to be much more in store for us when it comes to those 2. i understand where he's coming from, but i guess it would be nice to see a little effort on his side. he seems so "over it", but then in the same breath he asks her what she wants to do. so maybe i'm a little confused, does he want out or not?

Bad Girls Club - i threw this one in at the last minute only because i feel like i had a little bit to say. i can't believe they started this season with so much chaos and drama. this show has become less about changing for the better and more about acting crazy on TV. i'm not  sure if i'll continue to watch this one, but i figured i should mention it.

whelp, that about sums up TV watching for me this week. what have you been watching?

Jae

TV Talk

so i decided i would write about the shows i watch week by week instead of individually as i don't want them to consume my posts. this post will include items from last week and this week since i just got this bright idea! no time for small talk since i was to make this short and sweet.

Jersey Shore Season 3 - can we say started off with a BANG! i don't know why, but this show is a must watch for me, i'm sure it has something to do with that cute DJ who i would love to meet one day along with some of the others. i, along with the other housemates couldn't understand why a couple would choose a room with 3 beds...do you think they really like to screw with others that much that they don't THINK before acting??? i also can't seem to move past the fact that Sammi really thinks she did something to Jenni during the fight in Miami...hun, you got 1 hit in and i'm not even sure it was a good one. so far i like the new girl Deena-she does remind me a lot of Snooki, but i like Snooki as well so i'm down to watch a little more. From the previews it looks like we're in for another jam packed season of foolishness thanks i'm sure i'll watch all  the way.

Basketball Wives - this past sunday was pretty interesting. 1-i couldn't figure out why Evelyn and Jen were so pressed to be in the limelight, so much so, that they crashed a charity event. really, yeah it was a boring event, but you weren't on the list which tells me you knew you were going to start trouble instead of going for the right reasons. did they donate anything? did the scene with Tammi and Jen take anyone else back to Tammi's Real World days?!? she totally flipped out and showed Jen she is not to be messed with. i'm not one for violence...especially in public and at a charity event, but i do think Jen could have stood a little tongue lashing, can you tell she's not my favorite?!? i'm happy to see Shaunie actually try to stop this fight instead of jumping in or starting it...thanks for coming back to the "normal" side. i guess we need to keep watching as i'm sure this situation didn't end with that episode.

The Game - how excited was everyone for this show to return. i remember watching the reruns over and over and over and never being tired or bored of watching them. i watch so many reality shows that its a welcomed changed to my regular routine. the first episode was great almost too packed with greatness for me..i hope mara brock has a lot more where that came from! i love how most of the characters are the same with the exception of Brittany, i liked the old one. i can't believe the situation with Melanie, Derwin and the DNA test...can you say too much Melanie! while watching i was trying to decide what i would have done in her situation and i would like to say love the kid as if he were my own. i can't wait to see how this now plays out and what they will say to Jenae..oops! i'm going to need medschool to calm down and be happy in her marriage.

well that's it for this installment. let me know what you think and if your suggestions for other great shows.

Basketball Wives Season 2

so...as you know i watch waaaaaayy too much TV for my own good-as my grandmother would say! i watched season 1 of Basketball Wives and found it to pretty entertaining and not too over the top, other than the show only featuring 1 wife ( go figure) and the drama with Shaunie and Gloria. i actually follow Evelyn on twitter (i think she's going to be deleted soon) and noticed she's gotten a lot more vocal since being in the lime light and i couldn't figure what caused it until i started watching season 2. let's see where to start....

Shaunie - i was happy to see her dating again...although dude totally does not look like her type...maybe i shouldn't say that, i don't know her! i guess he just looks totally opposite of Shaq and really young. i was also happy to see that she would be on the show a lot more this season-she seems to be a great mediator last season and i knew they would need that again. i soon realized she was a lot different this season than the last, which also seems to be the case with most of the ladies. i couldn't believe her blow up with Gloria after crashing a lunch (who does that), but i was happy to see Gloria stand up to them. that was the point i knew Shaunie was not the same as last season and needs some reality...i hope you come back girl *in my Chelsea Handler voice*!

Jennifer - i really just wanted to get her out of the way...what a bore!?! i try not to be a judgemental person, but when you put it out there for us to see an opinion will be formed. i'm really over her and her drawn out marriage situation...either you leave or you stay, but either please stop talking about it. Eric played her on the show, I guess she thought he would beg her stay, but homie made it clear that he could go either way...how sucky is that! she really seems like a follower who Gloria also carried during the lunch crash *btw, how far is Orlando from Miami...its waaaaayy too far to drive for that type of bulls!*t!

Royce - i actually like Royce and hope her and ole dude make it. she seems really happy and actually talks with sense most of the time. i understand where she's coming from with the Suzie/Evelyn mess and the fact that Evelyn needs to show up and shut up!

Suzie - she seems cool from what i see on TV, but from season 1 she showed she doesn't put up with BS which is why i'm surprised she's letting Evelyn play her like that. i think its time to throw a drank...yes drank...in her face to see if she's going to lay hands on you. i wish her well in her pursuit of a new career and with her cute little NFL guy.

Evelyn - i'm over her this season and wish she would sat down somewhere! she's so loud and unreasonable. this Suzie situation seems so blown up for TV that its ridiculous. i guess she also thought she was going to punk Gloria who gave her a little taste of her sharp tongue along with everyone else at the table. i wish the Evelyn from season 1 would make another appearance because she was spunky but not ridiculous.

Gloria - okkk...you really aren't taking any crap are you? i'm interested in the reason the marriage didn't go down like everyone else, but i'm happy she didn't back down from the "others". i was on the fence last season, but i'm starting to come around about her. i definitely think Shaunie's beef with her over the situation with Gloria's sister and Shaq has nothing to do with Gloria and should be taken up with the parties directly involved. keep doing you boo..."that's what's up" *twists wrists*...i couldn't resist!

Tammie - i've been a Real World fan forever and had mixed feelings about her joining this show, but after the first couple of episodes she looks like a good fit. i'm sorry to hear about the trials she went through after getting separated, how can her ex allow things to go down like that with the mother of his kids. judging by the previews it looks like she's going to hand Evelyn and little beat down and although i don't condone fighting, i can't wait to see it. i hope Suzie's around as well.

oh well...i've spent more than enough time on this foolishness. do you watch this show...if so let me know what you think.
love and hugs,
Jae

I Just Can't Get Enough...

I've been such a tv junkie lately (well...not just lately!) that I thought I'd share with you what's been occupying my time lately. The new fall season has started and I definitely have a couple of shows that I watch faithfully.

Bravo's The Real Housewives
I've always been a Housewives fan from the beginning. I can remember when it was all about Orange County and the seasons were 6-9 months apart with lots of reruns in between. Now, we're introduced to a new set of Housewives every 3-6 months and I LOVE IT! I will say Atlanta is by fair my favorite because they are the most entertaining, but I definitely like the others as well.

Styles Jerseylicious
How precious is this show. It definitely has a entertainment factor, but it has some good points as well. I think I officially have a favorite character in Gigi...she seems like a really good well-rounded person. You must check this show out if you haven't already. Especially if you're memerized by the sprouting of shows from Jersey.

CW's 90210
I was super *i use that work way too much* excited when I heard there was going to be a new 90210. I can remember being a kid when the first series was launched and instantly loving it. I'm pretty sure it was because they were a lot older than me so it made me feel cool (I'm such a dork at times). This new cast is awesome and besides being a good (non reality) show they also discuss some important topics.

MTV's 16 and Pregnant
I was instantly drawn to this show as well and have watched each season (including Teen Mom) with hopeful thoughts for these young ladies. Its interesting to see the teens in these situations and I think it shows America that teens from all backgrounds have a problem with teen pregnancy. I really hope these ladies grown up and become great parents and learn from the past to try to prevent pregnancy from happening again until they're completely ready for it.

Oprah
I've never been an Oprah fan but thought I'd give it a shot since its her last season on network tv and all. I don't really care much when she has celebrities on for no reason, but I love her other shows. She has topics that make me cry, laugh and everything in between.

Oxygen's Bad Girls Club
Such a trainwreck but I can't seem to get enough. Is it me or has this seaon been extremely loonnnnng? I think Oxygen tried to stretch it out with the 1-2 week breaks in the middle of the season to get more viewers or something. It seems a lot more over the top than past seasons and I really would like them to calm it down just a little, but of course I'll keep watching!

Modern Family
How late and I on the Modern Family bandwagon? I totally slept on this show until I saw the cast on Oprah and laughed the entire time. I wish this show was an full hour, I laugh so hard when watching it. I love that it portrays such a diverse family that gets along wonderfully *most of the time*.

Now that I've gotten that out of my system maybe I can focus on my makeup and fashion posts again!

Teen Mom 9-28

so, i guess i forgot to blog about last weeks episode so things will be a bit out of order...sorrys *pout*! this episode had both highs and lows and i mean lows. we saw the good, bad and almost ugly *i try to not judge so i won't flat out call her ugly* in Amber this week. i will say i was pretty satisfied with the others throughout the episode which makes me a happy reality show watcherer! let me know what you think after checking the post out.

Farrah really seems to be coming around and finding her footing in this thing called motherhood and life. i've been so critical of her this season and this is my first post the includes nothing but positive about her. i can't believe how well she's getting along with her parents which makes me happy because Sophia has an "adult" to look out for her...y'all know Farrah slow. watching Farrah and Sophia with Sophia's aunt and baby cousin made me cry so hard...i can't keep up my G status *not even* ballin' at the TV like that. i loved that she brought a baby book with pictures of Derek, Sophia's father and shared them and us. how much does Sophia look like her daddy!?! i swear she looks exactly like him that its scary..that smile is her daddy's all over again. i'm really looking for a happier ending to this story...they deserve it.

Miss Maci Miss Maci, things are looking up for her...she can't cook worth a damn but she seems to be doing well. how happy is everyone that she and Ryan were able to sort everything out like adults? i know i am although i really wish she lived closer to him so they didn't have to shuffle Bentley such a long distance.

hey Catelynn! how precious is Carly??? she looks like both of them and i think its the most precious thing ever. i'm very sad they didn't graduate with their classmates but i am happy they aren't giving up. *yells* go Tyler and Catelynn you can do it!!!!

i was dreading talking about the next NUT but i guess its obvious i need to address the craziness thats Amber. ok...chick needs to be on something *throws antidepressant in her mouth* and Gary even said she needed to go back on her medicine. i felt so bad for him when she acted a fool and hit him and tried to push his stuff down the stairs. i swear Gary should have called dem boys to handle Ambers crazy ass...domestic violence goes both ways people! i really hope Leah is taken care of in all of this foolishness...thank goodness for partially sane grandparents!

well thats all for me folks...the few sentences on Amber wore me O U T out!

Who Wanna Rock with JWOWW

OM-Geezy...can you say late! i've had this post in the edit process for so long that it doesn't make sense..i really need to do better with my life! when i first started this post i was going to recap the entire episode but decided to focus on the important part..JWOWW rockin' Sammi *yelling* fight, fight, fight in my Jerry Springer audience voice!

whelp..i have mixed emotions about the letter. i know why they did it and i may have done things the same way if i thought the recipient would have responded in a positive thankful way. with that said i know Jenni and Snooki both knew who they were dealing with and knew that Sammi is an idiot who would have believed Ronnie before believing her friends. chick needs help people...i swear she's pathetic and definitely made herself look desperate so far this season.

dun, dun, dun, duuuunnn...i really didn't expect the fight to go down like that. i would have been pissed if i tried to help a friend out and she totally turned the tables on me. JWOWW is such a gansta i really didn't think she was going to mush the girl like she did and then throw the girl to the floor while keeping her balance! because i try to play fair i admit that hook Sammi caught her with *after getting up from the floor* was a good connect...i didn't know Sammi had it in her. then everything took a turn for the worst everyone was holding Jenni while no one seemed to be worried about Sammi especially Ronnie. shouldn't he have been holding his gf instead of his roommate!?! let's play fair dude...i know you were upset cause Jenni embarrassed your girl but play fair dude! after that the rest of the episode made me want to throw up in my mouth so i'll stay away from it since i don't want to feel sick again.

happy reading...until next time,
LadybugB!

Teen Mom - Sept. 7th!

i've been very 1-sided in this blog thing only discussing makeup and such. i've made a decision...i'm going to start blogging about a little big of everything! i know i know...you're (not sure who you consist of since i don't have any readers *sad face*) super excited and can't wait for more!

in addition to makeup another favorite past time i have is TV...particularly REALITY TV...yeah i know!?! after a hard day at work i want nothing more than to watch people make a fool of themselves on national TV. i think the thing that draws me in is the fact that i don't act like them and would (NEVER!) act so crazy..in public that is. my first TV post will be on one of my favorites...wait for it...none other than Teen Mom *i heart this show*. Let's jump right in this weeks installment was really good.

MACI
i decided to break it down per girl instead of jumping all around according to the episode. i'm happy that Maci is involved with Kyle he seems like a really good guy who enjoys both her and Bentley. i'm a little more reserved so the decision to up and move 2 hours away so quickly (although i'm not sure how long they've been dating) seems abrupt. i definitely get where shes coming from in wanting to get to know him better but it doesn't seem that they explored the option of Kyle moving to Chattanooga. i would like to see her explore other options before moving that far from her support system.

Ryan, Ryan, Ryan i don't know where to start. i have very mixed feelings about him. i know it takes some people more time than others to grow up and take responsibility but i can't forget the way he acted on previous seasons. a big part of me thinks he's only asking for more time because his parents and gf want him to have more time not because he really wants to spend time with Bentley, but the optimist in me is thinking he may be growing up. i hope this growth continues and he finds a job too*how bout them apples* (i think i just channeled my grandmother when i thought to say that)!

last but not least with Maci...it appears they're going to court. i really hope this ends well for everyone involved and people see that shes a great mother. she's been the most stable person in this entire train ride for me and i'm sure its because of her home life and well...not to mention she's a southern girl so having a kid at 16 and almost getting married is the LIFE!!!

where to next o look its AMBER time:
i can't hold this in any longer...Gary is an IDIOT how old is he btw?! you let your friend egg you on to be a pussy who complains about not being invited to go out with your gf or fiancee or whatever the hell you guys are this week! your friend is lonely and possibly has a crush on you so he wants to to be single. i'm happy he came to his senses at some point during the night.

i keep saying Amber is a G...that girl will hit you and put your ass out in a minute! i'm not condoning domestic violence or violence at all but damn she's a feisty one at least for a minute. she's one of those that will put her man in check and then beg to have him back..i need her to fix that! i would have been upset with Gary as well, he acted like an ass all because of his friend *screaming* stop being a follower Gary! i'm happy they seem to have worked things out and Amber was able to get her party on for her bday.

who has a WACK JOB for a mother, CATELYNN has a WACK JOB for a mother. i swear i feel so bad for Catelynn when it comes to her mother. i really thought her mother and step father were a little more normal this season until he went back to rehab for the umpteenth time and her mother started acting (i use the term loosely) like an addict herself. i can't believe that her mother acted like that on camera, in public and in front of Catelynn's friend. who calls their daughter names like that..i know everyone doesn't have the cookie cutter family but that was way too much. maybe her mother needs a stint in rehab...i'm just sayin'! i thought the dress she wore for prom was precious and looked really good on her and i'm even happier for her and Tyler for winning prom king and queen. Speaking of Tyler...they seem to be doing really well and enjoying being teens. they were really going through it earlier this season and i didn't think they would make it...at all. i'm routing for them *cheering*!

guess who's next, go on guess..fine i'll tell you. its FARRAH time!!!! i think this episode helped her get back in my good graces a little. i'm not saying she didn't have a reason for acting out a little but she would often take it waaaaay too far with her smart comments and body language.

i was very shocked when she invited her mother to her therapy session...maybe she's growing up a little, at least that's what i'm telling myself. i'm happy her mother accepted the offer as well..she could have been a bitch and decided not to go which definitely would have been a bad move. of course Farrah had to act out in the therapy session and act as if she wanted to gain nothing from inviting her mother to partake. now, now..i understand  she was upset with her mother and the way she was acting was years worth of family issues. the therapist must be cut from the same cloth as Amber 'cause she put that attitude to a halt and checked Farrah *therapist - 1, Farrah -0*! i was happy to see a change in Farrah and Debra (i think that's her mom's name!) and they seem to be moving in the right direction which will be great for Sophia cause Farrah def. needs help with parenting!

now, i must inform you i'm not a parent but i have been around children and have a little sister 9 years younger than i am (i know, my parent's were nutz!) so i do understand basic parenting. the most disturbing thing about Farrah is she doesn't quit understand that you should leave the baby unattended. i cringed when i saw Sophia sitting on the counter top (especially after the bed and kitchen sink situations) and Farrah was in the other room. i know this is REALITY TV and the producers want to be hands off but i need them to start stepping in before the baby is seriously hurt on their watch..OK *shakes head and snaps fingers*! i hope she learns to make sure baby as her mother calls her is safe.

whelp...thats about it for this installment check back next later this week for more Teen Mom!

love and hugs,
LadybugB
